You know that feeling when you enter a room and there is negative energy? Afterwards you feel. You may have accidentally brought these negative particles home with you.
If the wrong ions are in a room, this can cause various unexplained ailments: you may have a headache, get tired and/or gloomy, sleep badly, feel uncomfortable in your own house, have little patience, and/or find it difficult to relax.
You can restore harmony in your home with the four elements: water, fire, earth, and air. You can pick one, a few, or all at once.
Sage is a dried leaf that you burn on one side of a bundle. A strong odor is released that burns for a while—not like a candle, but more like incense. Place the sage in a shell or bowl and hold the bundle above it with the end angled downwards. Then work from top to bottom (i.e. from attic to basement) in the direction of an open window or door to get the negative energy out of your house. Let the burnt sage smudge along the walls of each room and pay some extra attention to the corners because those are the places where negative energies like to hide. Also, think in advance with what intention you clean the room and formulate a positive wish.
Florida water is traditionally used in Peru and other South American countries. The water is said to have spiritual and energetic powers and therefore works perfectly to cleanse a space of any negative energies. You put the special water in a bottle and spray it through the room you want to clean. Do you have any left? You can also use it to neutralize your crystals.
You can also clean spaces with your crystals. They have special powers because of the energies that each stone carries. To clean a house or room, for example, a lilac amethyst is suitable. The stone has a protective and purifying effect. A group of crystals (the element of earth) on display is not only beautiful but also brings new energy into your home.
Dim the lights and grab four candles. Spread them around the room and light the candles one by one. Start at the front door and then take the first room and candle on your left. Go clockwise around the house. You can just leave them on until you want, relax on the sofa, and read a good book, for example.
With incense, it's a case of love it or hate it. Those who like to light a fire can burn incense. The specific scent cleanses your home by using it in much the same way as sage. Move through the room with the burning incense to clean the rooms. A fine incense for this ritual is purification wood incense.
